  18. That reminds me of when I interviewed for my position at
  19. Clemson. I think I had been on campus for about ten minutes
  20. when the then Head of Department put a drink in
  21. my hand and proceeded to explain to me how
  22. that the History Department at Clemson was far better than
  23. the Department at South Carolina. I needed the job, so I nodded
  24. my head, even though I hadn't heard of either institution a few
  25. weeks before (except I had heard that Woody Hayes had punched
  26. out a Clemson football player). Well, I got the job, and have
  27. been here ever since, a happy member of the Clemson Family,
  28. whose blood runneth orange. How 'bout them Dawgs?
