- I have an extension that does write minidisk blocks using the same
- interface that it reads with; this is definitely possible. And
- dangerous.

- Doing this without using the CMS routines means that you have to write
- code that understands the inner subtleties of the CMS file system.
- Be sure to test with CMS 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Or if you prefer watch
- out for PTFs to GCS or DF/SORT CMS; they'll alert you to the fact that
- the physical disk changed. Not a good idea.
