- || Sooo... Does anyone know of a way of unloading MSCDEX without >
- || rebooting the workstation? Or of another possible solution?
-
- Having needed to be able to load and unload MSCDEX, because of being
- short of conventional RAM on the workstations on our network, I asked
- the same question recently. I've found that Computer Tyme's memory
- utilities - included with their MarxMenu program - do the job nicely.
- I think a number of others, that tidy up interrupt vectors, will
- probably do just as well.
-
- The problem of UN-assigning the drive letter is taken care of by a
- program Ralf Brown gives in his book UNDOCUMENTED DOS. That
- makes it possible to re-load and unload MSCDEX as many times as you
- like.
