I'm going to install Minnesota's PC Gopher II v.102b client for several
weenies within our department who are even weenier than me. I'd like to
just hand out diskettes with install.bats which, with a few args, will
install preconfigured gopher, pop, and various other tcp applications.
These applications vary in origin and I don't want the user to have to
wade through varying configuration schemes worrying about subnet masks,
etc..
How can I predefine gopher user options so that the user does not have to do any configuration. I suppose I could just use an established gopher.rez file if there is some way to pass the IP address which the user supplies to the install.bat.
Alternatively, does anyone know of a turbo vision gopher client (i.e.
looks similar to umn) which uses a text configuration file? Perhaps NU
has done to the umn gopher client what they've done to the umn pop
