- I have a SLIP line running on a VAXstation 2000 using Multinet 2.2.
- The SLIP line is configured dynamically and connects to a Sun Sparc 1+
- running slip4.0.
-
- Everything works just fine until I want to disconnect the SLIP line.
- I should mention that the line runs through a data switch rather than
- over modems (although it soon will). Once I have finished with the
- SLIP session, I would like to be able to access the TTA2: port as
- a regular VMS device but when I try to access it (set host/dte tta2:)
- I get "%SYSTEM-F-TERMNETDEV, Terminal is a network communications device".
-
- The /DYNAMIC option on the MULTINET SET command is supposed to return
- the SLIP line to VMS when it disconnects. Even unplugging the line from
- TTA2: makes no difference (totally removing any signals).
-
- Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
