- We are trying to use CMU-Tek's LPD function to print from a Sun to a VAX
- printer. The VAX printer is a postscript printer that uses the CPS software.
- The file gets transferred to the VAX and gets queued to the proper queue just
- fine. The problem is the /PARAMS information. It has the DATA=ANSI or
- DATA=POSTSCRIPT information ok but it also has some extra information.
- Parameter 6 has the name of the file that was sent for printing and parameter 8
- has the name of the node it was sent from. Below is an example of what we are
- seeing.
-
- Printer queue LTA155, paused, on POPV01::LTA155:, mounted form CPS$DEFAULT
- (stock=DEFAULT)
- /BASE_PRIORITY=4 /DEFAULT=(FORM=CPS$DEFAULT (stock=DEFAULT))
- /NOENABLE_GENERIC /LIBRARY=CPS_LIB Lowercase /OWNER=[GB001D,SYSTEM]
- /PROCESSOR=CPS$SMB /PROTECTION=(S:E,O:D,G:R,W:W) /SCHEDULE=(NOSIZE)
-
- Jobname Username Entry Blocks Status
- ------- -------- ----- ------ ------
- HyperLook-order-form.ps
- blanceka 311 19 Pending (queue paused)
- Submitted 27-AUG-1992 16:09 /FORM=CPS$DEFAULT (stock=DEFAULT)
- /NOTE="blanceka on popu01" /PARAM=("DATA_TYPE=POSTSCRIPT","","","","",
- "HyperLook-order-form.ps","","popu01") /PRIORITY=100
- File: _POPV01$DUA0:[SYSCOMMON.SYSMGR]DFA006POPU01.;1 /DELETE
-
- The 6th and 8th parameters are giving the CPS software heartburn. How can I
- turn this off? Thanks for your help.
