- Hi,
-
- Now that we have a number of widely disparate mail systems connected with
- PMDF-glue, (CC:mail, TCP, VMS...) my management would like me to set up a
- lookup service for usernames at the various locations. Can this be done
- with PMDF in a non-interactive method? I say non-interactive, because
- something like WHOIS would require (I assume) a full-time link and the
- transport to be supported. We have a variety of periodic Phonenet, UUCP,
- etc connections here. So we'd like to set something up so that you send a
- message to a MAILSERV-like address and it sends the lookup results back
- to the user via mail.
- Has anyone done this? Is this a FAQ?
-
- Thanks,
-
