- I don't know MX capabilities, but I think that SMTP doesn't permit
- to open connection to get mail from a remote site. I'm not sure.

- I have solved similar problems, very well, by Phonenet over X.25 (Phonent is
- a PMDF Transport mechanism). With this solution you will have also useful
- accounting information about messages transfer.
