- It's not just the trade rags. I attended the VMS Internals I & II courses
- a couple of years ago. The fellow who taught Internals II didn't really
- understand memory management with regard to working sets and the working
- set list. I tried to set him straight, and even proved my point in lab,
- but I'm still not sure he got it. So, even "the horse's mouth" isn't
- always reliable, and can spread mis-information. I don't know if he could
- explain the difference between BORROWLIM and GROWLIM today (the way he
- explained things before, there could be no difference).
-
- BTW, in fairness to DEC, the instructor for Internals I was excellent.
- I just wish she had taught the second week, too.
-
- And, of course, the net is a great source of mis-information! ;-)
- I usually just wait and see if Ehud will go after them... ;-) ;-)
