- The sublime thing was what they did with one of the hydraulic press
- skits during a rerun. The gimmick for the rerun was that Dave was
- watching it along with us; they had edited in little insets in the
- corner showing Dave dozing off in front of the TV during an incredibly
- tedious appearance by Bob Hope, and similar things. The rerun contained
- a session with the hydraulic press, and they squished an enormous
- quantity of hot dogs. While the hot dog goo was flying all over the
- screen, Tom Brokaw's face suddenly appeared in the corner, talking
- about something like European Community monetary policy. After a
- few seconds Dave appeared in the corner and apologized for the
- "technical difficulties." It was very nearly the funniest thing
- I have ever seen in my life.
-
- There's been some hilarious stuff recently, actually.. the ad
- for "Captain Dave's Weasel Farm and Theology Camp" comes to mind...
