  29. You probably would have been filled full of holes long before you hit 
  30. the ground.   The RNC hired commerical roadies to do the lighting,
  31. special effects, etc... for them.   My brother in law was in charge of
  32. a part of the show (I'm being vague, because I don't trust this government
  33. not to violate my or his civil liberties).    He is fairly moderate,
  34. which means he is a flaming liberal in the eyes of the RNC.

  36. We jokingly suggested he should arrange a Clinton banner to drop down behind 
  37. Bush during his speech.  This would have been impossible.   Every peice
  38. of equipment, every possible sign, banner, or anything that could do harm 
  39. or show up on TV was examned by the secret service, the RNC, and a seperate
  40. hired squad.  They had agents posted everywhere,  ready to turn off lights,
  41. pull plugs, or whatever to make sure that no inappropriate messages were
  42. seen on TV.    For example,  one woman deligate was found trying to sneak in a
  43. Pro Choice flag, and she was jailed on trumped up charges until after
  44. the convention was over.

  46. For example, did you know that all of those hand painted signs (such as the
  47. cute sign "Woody Allen is Clintons Family Advisor") were made by the RNC
  48. staff, and handed out to deligates with an eye to camaera coverage.  Deligates
  49. were not allowed to make or modify thier own signs.   One member of the Arizona
  50. deegation was very upset because he had a sign that said "Az 'heart' AuH2O",
  51. but this wasn't allowed because Goldwater is considerted to be too 
  52. liberal (OH YEAH?).   The guy has been on at least 2 call in talk shows 
  53. to complain about this.   This life long republican is probably going to
  54. vote for Clinton because the republicans convention was too far right for
  55. an Arizonan who likes Goldwater ...

  58. Of course,  Pat Robertson did say that feminists wanted women to "leave their
  59. husbands, kill thier children, practice withcraft, and vote communist".
