  13. talk.rape is a newsgroup devoted to discussing ways of preventing
  14. rape. The scope of discussion tends to be rather broad, and the tone
  15. of the discussions can be heated. But the issue to be discussed is
  16. rape, and facts are needed if any argument is to be given attention.
  17.  
  18. In the past month or so, talk.rape has been inundated with bickering
  19. about legal points. Now it looks as if the group is to be inundated
  20. by arguments about abortion.
  21.  
  22. If forced abortions are occuring, that is a rape issue, and I would
  23. bet that it gets a lively discussion in talk.rape. However, I have 
  24. not seen any evidence on the scope of forced abortion presented in 
  25. the discussion that has been cross posted to talk.rape.
  26.  
  27. Therefore, I request that you either present some evidence about the
  28. scope of the problem, if it exists, or stop cross posting this thread
  29. to talk.rape.
