  27. No, it is correct.  The Pennsylvania Abortion Control Act of 1989
  28. contains a section which restricts abortions of fetuses of 24 weeks
  29. or greater gestational age.  It requires that three physicians
  30. determine that the pregnant woman's life is in danger (and suicidal
  31. tendencies in the pregnant woman cannot be considered.)  It
  32. requires that a second physician be present to take "all reasonable
  33. steps" to save the fetus.  Finally, it requires that the abortion
  34. be performed "in a manner which provides the best opportnity for
  35. the unborn child to survive."  A physician who violates this
  36. law is guilty of a 1st degree felony.

  39. section was not challenged in PP v. Casey and is currently
