- I recently heard that a group at the University of North Carolina
- developed a stereoscopic display device which can "project" 3D images
- into the real world. I believe that this system uses some type of
- heads-up display to superimpose a 3D image onto the user's actual
- field of view. For example, an image of an apple could be
- superimposed onto the outstretched hand of the viewer.
-
- If such a device does exist, I would appreciate pointers to papers
- or the individuals involved. Please respond by email and I will
- summarize.
-
- Thanks - David
