  18.      According to my KSC master plan (Map coordinate E2 & E3, the
  19.      Press site is 16,400 feet from LC-39A (3.1 miles).  The LCC
  20.      is 16,800 feet (3.2 miles) and the forward observer site
  21.      which contains emergency vehicles is 11,100 feet (2.1 miles).

  27.      There are actually 4 VIP viewing areas.  The Banana Creek
  28.      viewing area is the closest.  It is 17,600 feet (3.3 miles)
  29.      from Pad LC-39B and 21,200 feet (4.0 miles) from LC-39A.  It
  30.      is a great view of the pads (at least until RSS retraction)
  31.      because most of the area between the viewing stands and the
  32.      pads is open water.  Close to launch, the Rotating Service
  33.      Structure (RSS) is moved away from the vehicle and its park
  34.      site blocks a view of the vehicle at liftoff.
