  20. Very well.  Here is how I have "learned to live with jerks": I recommend
  21. against granting them tenure.  Is this real enough for you?

  23. Incidentally, I noted your speculation (not quoted above) that the
  24. only factors considered in the tenure review process are research and
  25. teaching.  I suggest that you acquire a copy of the pertinent documents
  26. that guide the process at Cornell; you might be surprised.
