- Hear, hear! It's also worth noting that are those of us here who HAVE
- done serious work in philosophy.

- As for your fears that there will be an irascible minority who will not
- understand even the clearest exposition -- don't worry about it! Ignore
- them, if you wish. Usually when I teach math there are those in the
- class who don't understand it. Only in USENET do they have the gall to
- put up a fight over it, instead of quietly going to sleep in the back row. :-)
