  12. I would like to know if anyone knows how statistically something is determined
  13. to be a trend over time.  Is this a question of regression, analysis of
  14. variane, some sort of time series analysis or what.  I would greatly 
  15. appreciate any help/references that anyone could provide.  I can be contacted
