- Let F be a field and L a quadratic extension of F. Then it is
- well-known that K_2(L) can be generated by semiinvariant
- symbols; that is, things of the form {a,b} where a is in F - {0} and
- b is in L - {0}.

- Does this fact extend to L/F of degree greater than 2? Affirmation,
- partial results and counterexamples all welcome.
