- I too thought it was a joke ... it's absurd to expect a mathematical proof
- of God's existence (or non-existence for that matter). My reply was to
- post that the only proof I knew of depended on the axiom of choice. This
- was supposed to be a joking reply (and I thought it was reasonably funny).
- Unfortunately, there seem to have been actual historical attempts to use
- mathematics to prove the existence of God, and (also unfortunately) at
- least some of these seem to have made actual reference to the axiom of
- choice. Thus my joke was lost. Ah, well.
- (Unless all these replies have been jokes -- in which case, it
- has clearly gone on long enough.)
