- The Erdos number of a person X, as most readers of this
- newsgroup probably know, is defined to be the least number
- of links (via joint papers) needed to connect X
- with Erdos. Erdos has Erdos number 0, co-authors of
- Erdos have Erdos number 1, etc.
-
- In the preface to "A Tribute to Paul Erdos", Cambridge
- University Press, 1990, it is stated that Einstein's
- Erdos number is 2. That means there exists a person
- who has written a paper with Einstein, and a paper with
- Erdos. Anybody know who it is?
