- This reminds me of a story I heard at a memorial seminar on Godel, on which
- I would like confirmation. When he was studying US Constitution for his
- citizenship, it is reported that he found a way for the system to produce a
- dictorship. While talking with the judge, he commented that he left
- Germany because it had become a dictorship. The judge said something like,
- "Thank God that can't happen here." Godel was about to reply with his
- observation, but his sponsor kicked him and got him to shut up.
