  10. I am part of a neighborhood coalition fighting a drag strip's
  11. being built within a mile of our homes. Is there any information
  12. available (journals, papers, whatever) on the toxic pollutants
  13. generated by dragsters? Or: any info on pollution of the aquifer
  14. from drag strip accidents or usage?
  15.   The local zoning board, in coopertion with the county government
  16. has seen fit to allow a "zoning variance" of agricultural land for
  17. what they call an entertainment facility (the drag strip). That the
  18. strip will be built within a mile of a heavily populated area, on
  19. top of the HIdden Valley aquifer and on land which was possibly
  20. once wetlands (and is now near wetlands) seems to have no bearing
  21. in the case.
  22.   Any hints on what to look for, or where will be greatly appreciated
  23. by the community involved.
