- Thanks for the replies on the 232 monitor, I came up with another idea, can
- anyone tell me if it will work?

- First of all, the two machines will not be talking at the same time.

- I have given some thought to connecting both lines to a MAX233 on pins 4
- and 19 ( R inputs ) then connecting the R outputs to a 2-input OR gate,
- and the output of it back to one of the ( T inputs (pin2)), then my monitor
- computer to the ( T output (pin5)) of the max233.

- I have never used a max 233 do they require any caps/ wierd voltages?
- Can they get power from the 232 port?
