- It should work!
-
- To work out your kWHrs simply multiply the number of kW you are using by the time
- (in hours) for which you use them. Eg. a light bulb of 100W is equal to 0.1 KW;
- if left on for a whole day it would therefore use 0.1*24 or 2.4 kWHrs. A whole
- month would eat up nearly 75 kWHrs (expensive business leaving light bulbs on for
- a long time - especially if they are in the loft or cellar (basement), unnoticed!)
-
- This is fine for a light bulb as it stays 'on' all the time. But be careful with,
- for example, things that are thermostatically controlled. They will only be taking
- their rated power intermittantly.
