- The $49 plastic Fresnel lens reminds me of a similar scam that was popular in
- the 1950s; for a reasonable price, they would sell you a filter that would
- convert any Tv from black and white to colour. Of course, it was just a piece
- of coloured plastic, but it did what it promised! I have heard that some of
- these were divided into three stripes- the top was blue, for sky, the middle
- was sort of flesh tone, and the bottom was green, for grass. If you were
- watching the right show, it was perfect.
