  12. The $49 plastic Fresnel lens reminds me of a similar scam that was popular in
  13. the 1950s; for a reasonable price, they would sell you a filter that would
  14. convert any Tv from black and white to colour. Of course, it was just a piece
  15. of coloured plastic, but it did what it promised! I have heard that some of
  16. these were divided into three stripes- the top was blue, for sky, the middle
  17. was sort of flesh tone, and the bottom was green, for grass. If you were
  18. watching the right show, it was perfect.
