  16. VGA scans at about 31.5kHz; NTSC has a horizontal rate of about
  17. 15.75kHz.  If you don't do something to correct the difference,
  18. you will get the right and left halves of the picture overlaid
  19. on the monitor.  Correcting the difference involves buffering 
  20. up quite a bit of data at the NTSC rate so it can be hosed to
  21. the monitor at the faster rate.  Good luck doing it in one or
  22. two ICs with current state of the art.
