- Back to the original topic, my advice to the original questioner is
- carefully evaluate your need for 100 mhz. If your needs are more
- modest, particularly if your needs tend more toward the audio end of
- the spectrum, you should seriously consider the Fluke 97 Scope-O-Meter.
- It is a 50 mhz dual trace handheld digital storage scope that also
- doubles as a very nice large digit DVM. One of the more useful
- aspects for me is it can drive an HP thinkjet or Epson printer directly
- so that screen images can be saved for later reference. At $1795 list,
- street price a couple of hundred less, it is a tremendous bang for the
- buck. Another useful feature is the ability to dump its memory out
- the interface which means things like FFT analysis can be run against
- the data on a PC>
-
- My original plan was to keep an old Tek 465 for high speed work and
- use the fluke for the rest. I recently sold the Tek because of non-use.
- The Fluke is the single most useful piece of test equipment I've ever bought.
