  14. This group (sci.econ) is out of hand.
  15.    Of the 20 or so threads that were up for me to pick, only 3 were
  16. not "talk.politics.econ"-appropriate topics. I would say 2 of those
  17. 17 remaining apply to this group, and the rest are just politics.
  18. And honestly, today was a good day. For people who read
  19. talk.politics.misc, to which many of the sci.econ posts are cross-
  20. posted, this isn't a problem. For people who care about economics (not
  21. demopublicans and the never-ending "libertarians are Satan's best 
  22. friends" arguments, this group is a waste.

  24.      Proposal 1: Rename this group to talk.politics.econ. 
  25.      Proposal 2: Create T.P.E, and keep this group.
  26. I prefer 2, but 1 is better than the current solution. A few quick quotes
  27. from the last 10 or so posts i read...

  40. Pretty scientific stuff, eh? I have observed also that the posters on
  41. these "talk." threads are not the same people who discuss the issues
  42. related to the "sci."-ness of economics. 
  43.     This is not an official RFD, although I would be willing to post one
  44. or assist anyone interested in carrying through with this idea.
