  20. Remember, the reason for classifying information as "Secret" is 
  21. usually to hide it from your friends/citizens/boss/etc. The "Enemy"
  22. is just the most convienent excuse. Why else would the US DoD want
  23. to classify satelite pictures that the Soviets were selling?

  25. To bring this back to sci.crypt, this is the reason why people have
  26. the idea that NSA is trying to make sure crypto-systems weak enough
  27. for NSA to crack.
