- I'd like to warn everyone against using cyanoacrylate glue (Loctite super-
- glue etc.) near optical surfaces - the stuff seems to release vapor which
- forms a semi-opaque coating. I used it on my telescope's auxiliary mirror
- assembly, and part of the fumes landed on the surface...
- I was finally able to remove the coating with acetone; water and
- isopropanol didn't have any effect.
-
- Could someone try and find a practical use for this discovery, a do-it-
- yourself deep-sky filter or something...:-)
