  25. Most of the policy discussion is about BSA policy. It's amazing how
  26. the scouting in the USA is so much on the "war path". I wonder how
  27. those people can teach their scout to be "FRIENDLY" (4th item on the
  28. BSA scout law). 
  29. Taken from "The Scoutmaster Handbook", BSA, 1990:
  30.    A Scout is FRIENDLY. A Scout is friend to all. He is a brother to
  31.    other Scouts and all the people of the world. He seeks to understand
  32.    other. He respect those with ideas and customs that are different
  33.    from his own.

  36.    A Scout is CLEAN. A Scout keeps his body and mind fit and clean. He 
  37.    chooses the company of those who live by these same ideals. He helps
  38.    keep his home and community clean.
  39. I belive this is saying something like: If _*YOU*_ do not find yourself
  40. comfortable with your currenct company you should change, it is not
  41. _*THEIR*_ fault that you feel as you do.
  42. If you become sick at work, you go home. Your collegues (SP??) is still
  43. at work.

  49. Good idea, but I would rather prefer:
  50.     rec.scouting.policy.bsa    - BSA, and BSA only.
  51.     rec.scouting.policy.misc    - Others. Minimal BSA stuff.
  52.     rec.scouting.wisdom        - Non political.
