  25. Another nice thing about the United Negro College Fund is that it's up
  26. front with its restrictions. I saw a BSA booth at a local street
  27. festive last weekend. From looking at the posters, you could not guess

  36. Other countries have co-ed scouts. On the other hand, this county has
  37. exceptions in its most of antidiscrimination legislation allow aid to
  38. single-sex schools. (I don't think race and religion get the same
  39. exemptions.)

  41. At the very least, United Way should support separate-but-equal. That
  42. is, it should not fund a boy's scouting group without giving similar
  43. funds to a girl's scouting group (and visa versa).

  67. The United Way charter doesn't forbid giving money to restricted
  68. groups as long as the money is spend on unrestricted (on the basis of
  69. race, religion, etc) programs.
