- That is not exactly what I said. As far as I know, the United Way
- antidiscrimination policies have never applied to hiring requirements
- or volunteers. If the KKK wants to open a soup kitchen they are
- eligible for United Way money as long as the kitchen is open to all in
- need without regard to race, religion, etc.

- The United Way of Suburban Chicago has removed even this requirement.
- In suburban Chicago, the KKK could exclude black and Jewish people and
- still be eligible if they say that this soup kitchen is set up
- especially help white Christians.
