- Doctors ALWAYS tell you s to stop running when you get an over use injury.
- All that does is make you fat and sluggish.
-
- My advice, if you aren't in too much pain, is to stretch before and after
- your runs, warm up slowly and cut your mileage until you're healed. When
- you're done, ice the joint for 10 or 15 minutes.
-
- Then, go see a podiatrist and see if orthotics might do the trick. I had
- all sorts of trouble years ago and got a pair ($250 US) but they were worth
- their weight i gold! My knees healed, my feet healed and I stopped runing
- through expensive shoes in two months.
-
- Good luck.
