- CEO - Chief Executive Officer -

- >Think also: Geauga lake- a fairly big park, but by no means a coaster heaven.

-
- Just my two cents... With all the cold and rainy weather in Ohio it seems to
- me that Geauga Lake is taking a beating attendance wise this summer. I was
- there about a week ago and the park was empty. They opened a bungee jump free
- with an admission ticket to boost attendance and they are also selling tickets
- to come back the next day for one dollar and they dropped the price of season
- tickets to $19.95. Currently they have a Bannana Bunch promotion which lets a
- group of 10 in for $35. I don't know if they have the money for a major
- project like the Pipeline, then again it could give them a really good year
- next year. Buck said that the ride will be close to Boston, Geauga Lake is
- about 20 miles outside of Cleveland so I kind of doubt that they are getting
- the Pipeline. My guess would be either Kentucky Kingdom or Hearshey Park if
- it's not Cedar Point. Also, I really didn't see any major clearing going on
- near the Raging Wolf Bobs, but I didn't really look for any either.
-
- >One more question--is it definite that Pipeline will Debut in 1993? If so, how
- >is this known? (Possible that the 1994 steel coaster at CP is to be the Pipeline
- >debut??)
- >
- >Those park employees also said that they have seen "prototypes" (drawings/
- >video; I am not sure) of the ride; they said it concludes with a six loop
- >spiral. They also said that the design of the ride has been changed, that the
- >cars will be completely ENCLOSED, for safety reasons. Again, take it with
- > a grain of salt, but if the ride was not coming to CP, how the hell did they
- >know all this or make this story up so quickly?
-
- Kevin has a good point. I go to CP about once a week and I've been hearing
- rumors about the Pipeline from many different park employees for about the
- last two years. CP is supposed to call it Bi-Plane according to some rumors.
- CP is supposed to be installing 3 coasters in the next 5 years (rumors again)
- so maybe there is both a Pipeline and a B&M steel coaster plus maybe another
- woodie in CP's future.
