  13.       ...I was at KK this week and I happened to run into one of the big shots
  14. there again. (Well, OK, I chased him down :) Anyways, I asked more questions
  15. about prospects for 94 and he said this:

  18.   "We hope to build a record-breaking coaster, something that will put us on
  19. the map and into the big-league." He feels that they have captured the local 
  20. audience quite well, and now wants to expand to capture a more regional
  21. audience, esp. people from Nashville, Indianapolis, Evansville, Lexington etc.

  23.   The only specs that he would tell me is that it will def. be a steel 
  24. rollercoaster... I asked him if it was one of the new B&M rollercoasters and
  25. he said "no", that he was trying for something record breaking in the sence 
  26. that there would be no others like it in the world, at least at first. Given 
  27. the amount of Vekoma rides and the contracts they have with them (the
  28. park is about 60% Vekoma rides,) could they be working on some new type of
  29. design???

  31.   He hopes to open a whole new section of park for this ride, which will be on
  32. the other side and behind the gravel parking lot that is next to the waterpark.
  33. There will be some type of transportation system linking all three sections, 
  34. probably a minature train. The plans for this new section will be released
  35. in parts, starting sometime this winter (I guess they need investors to help 
  36. expand???)

  38.   The good news is this: after all the re-investments made to keep the park
  39. open after the disaster back in 88, they have surpassed their hopes 
  40. this summer by 40%... So this WILL be a major local/regional park for a long
  41. time.

  43.   My worry is this: after 97 or so, they will be less than a mile from the end 
  44. new runway of our airport... I wonder what will happen then?

  46.  Oh yeah-- that would also preclude them from building anything much higher 
  47. than 20 stories... they have a 20 story tall vekoma ferris wheel, but I wonder
  48. how much higher than that they can go.....  oh well, I'll shut up for now...
