- I am considering conversion to DOT5 brake fluid. I am looking for a higher
- viscosity fluid, and I suspect Silicone is a tad more viscus. DOT5 is not
- compatible with 3, or 4; so how clean does the system be prior to the
- introduction of the 5. Can I empty the master cylinder, fill it with 5 and
- pump it into the system (this will be a 2 person job, opening the bleeder,
- depressing the brake, closing the bleeder, releasing the brake - repeat...).
- Or - do I have to use a solvent, change the rubbers in the system etc. ?
-
- I can be reached at wpcallah@rwasic17.aud.alcatel.com, and maybe not as I can
- not get the server to send me anything back, so you might have to respond to
- the autos.tec.
-
- Thanks, Paul
