  11. I have done the unthinkable.
  12.  
  13. I have ripped the first few threads of the oil plug hole out of my oil pan.
  14. I think I overtightened it last time I changed the oil, so this time
  15. the plug refused to catch until some thread bits came out.  
  16. An ugly scene to be sure.
  17. The plug is in now and it leaks very slowly, a drop every 5 or 10 minutes.

  19. My FEAR is that the plug will just fall out sometime.
  20. What's the solution ?  Change the oilpan ?  
  21. Is that expensive or difficult ?
