- I have done the unthinkable.

- I have ripped the first few threads of the oil plug hole out of my oil pan.
- I think I overtightened it last time I changed the oil, so this time
- the plug refused to catch until some thread bits came out.
- An ugly scene to be sure.
- The plug is in now and it leaks very slowly, a drop every 5 or 10 minutes.

- My FEAR is that the plug will just fall out sometime.
- What's the solution ? Change the oilpan ?
- Is that expensive or difficult ?
