- On my old Lotus Elan ('66), the rear brakes had a small set of mechanical
- calipers for the hand/parking brake, in addition to the regular hydralic
- ones. I think they were made by Girling. Never had the opportunity to see
- if they could actually stop the car from any real speed (fortunately).
