- No it doesn't. Both are average figures, based upon different measurements.
- (Figures lie and liars figure, right?) The acceleration of the car is not
- constant, so any calculations based upon data taken at finite times will
- have some error. If you were to measure the time vs position or
- time vs velocity in some sort of a continuous (or nearly continuous)
- manner, you would get numbers in much closer agreement. Do the math.

- You've _never_ heard of drag racing? I'm trying to keep my incredulity
- (madeupword[tm]) to a minimum. Imagine ~3000 hp in a ~1500 lb car,
- designed for pure acceleration. Or better yet, swing on down to your
- drugstore and look thru the magazine rack.
