I have a 1983 Ford Ranger, 2.0 liter, Carter Carb. The idle is too high even after adjusting it, and when it goes to a normal idle, it starts smoking. Does anybody out there have any suggestions?
Also, (don't laugh on this one) I have this idle/dwell/voltage meter but I don'thave the manual. I am not a mechanic so I don't know where to connect the cable
s to. It looks like a battery jumper cable, so I assume I just connect it to the+- battery post, right?. I am starting this fix my own truck hobby, you know.
