- Next, I would make a drilling jig out of steel (this is a fixture to hold
- a drill on-center, file the end of the stud flat (if you can), fasten the
- jig onto the workpiece solidly, CAREFULLY put a drilled hole down the
- center of the stud. Start small and work up to the size of the largest
- EZ-out that will fit into the stud. Using a QUALITY EZ-out try removing
- the stud. Chances are, it will come out. It may also bring all of your
- aluminum threads with it. If that happens, you will have to tap the hole
- for a Helicoil and use one of those patches.
