- Might you enlighten us (in general) and me (in particular, since I've only
- been doing this for twenty years or so, and don't have a clue as to how one
- determines impedance by listening).
-
- I measure the impedance of drivers and speaker system often 10 or 20 times
- a day on a very regular basis (these manufacturers of which you speak are
- willing to pay me lots of money to do that). I have a fairly extensive set
- of equipment here that I plug drivers into and out comes impedance curves.
- A lot of it I designed and built myself.
-
- Up until this point, I was under the impression (which you seem to be willing
- to cast doubt upon) that the numbers I was getting were based on some real
- physical phenomenon. I had never considered the possibility that my equipment
- was "conjuring" numbers. If that's true, can I get it to "conjure" other things
- like rabbits, money or happiness :-).
-
- All that aside, just what the hell are you talking about?
