- I do not know exactly what the mains power situation is in Sinapore so
- I will make an assumption that it is similar to British power where
- you have a hot lead (at 220VAC) an common lead and a (saftey) ground
- (where used).
-
- Your equipment is just two wire which I am assuming is common and hot.
-
- If all the above it true than there is only one (well maybe more
- but..) reason you have "hot" chassis's...A fault in the equipment,
- leaky mains bypass caps, wiring error in "powerboards" or in the mains
- connection that you plug into (let's see that was 4! reasons).
-
- This hot chassis situation is very dangerous and you should be
- extremely careful.
-
- Does all of the electrical appliances you have have the same problem?
-
- I would start unplugging equipment a piece at a time to look for one
- or more that may have a fauly. If you get to the end and the problem
- is still there then plug each piece of equipment directly into the
- mains connection bypassing the powerboards to see if it's that.
-
- If all else fails *try* an electrician?
