- How about:
-
- Copyright (C) 1992 Qiang Alex Zhao
-
- Original code
-
- Copyright (C) 1988 Dr. X Y Z
- Permission is granted to modify and re-distribute this code in
- any manner as long as this notice is preserved. All standard
- disclaimers apply.
-
- Or perhaps with "Original code" replace by "some code".
-
- But perhaps you could reconsider; as it stands, you could put a virus in
- the code, and the original author could get the credit(?). My guess is
- that copyright notice is probably as valid as the GPV(L), so you would
- probably be better off working from scratch.
