  22. I don't know how long it takes to make natural diamond, but I bet we're talking
  23. thousands of C14 half-lives.  So I don't think that diamonds have any
  24. radioactivity from C14.  If they are freshly mined, so that there are no
  25. cosmic ray spallation products, and are pure carbon, then they are probably 
  26. some of the most nonradioactive objects on the planet.
