- of the cpc switch does not affect this behavior. another non built-in
- bug is that the battery doesn't work. if the power goes off for only
- a few minutes, then the machine resets as described above. another
- problem is that you can't set the personal memo remotely.

- when i called phonemate i was shunted to non-800 numbers. they had me
- on hold for a while and did not have competent staff answering (they
- tried to tell me basics of operation instead of listening to the
- description of the two types of bug displayed by the unit). they were
- not interested in standing by the product and would not fix the built
- in bug under the warranty or not. the procedure for fixing the non
- built in bugs under the warranty were prohibitive and not promising.
