- per check for a handling fee. Mine is $10, I think.

- These kind of charges are standard throughout the banking industry.
- I feel that they are a money maker for them considering the bulk of
- checks processed each day.

- If you want to write a letter, go ahead and they may waive the charge
- but I doubt it. Their rules are in a pamphlet that you are supposed
- to receive when you open an account and anytime they change the rules
- and/or fees.

- Go to the person who gave you the check and ask for the $5 fee
- (they're getting hit also).
