- The Environmental Grantmakers Association (EGA) and the Consultative Group
- on Biological Diversity (CGBD) have recently published "A Guide to Trade and
- Environment." Written by Thomas Wathen, an environmental Program Officer at
- the Pew Charitable Trusts, it demystifies the complex nexus between trade
- and the environment. A chronology of both the GATT and NAFTA proceedings,
- and a directory of NGO's working in this area are included.
-
- Anyone seeking a readable and informative introduction to this issue will
- find "A Guide to Trade and the Environment" an excellent primer.
-
- Copies are available from the Environmental Grantmakers Association (EGA),
- 1290 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 3450 New York, NY 10104 for $7.50 each,
- or $5.00 each when ordering three or more copies.
-
- Other EGA publications include "Population and Envrionment: A Grantmakers
- Guide" ($7.50 each or $5.00 each when ordering three or more);
- "Reauthorization of Selected Congressional Environmental Legislation" ($3.00
- each); and the 1992 EGA Directory ($15.00 each-- available in mid-September).
